some captures during the photoshoot for retailtherapy march'11 lookbook. it was a perfect 12 sunshine that day so we got our skins and crowns burned. that explains why we name "coup de soleil" after the lookbook.

last Februari, we were doing photoshoot for one class of smu8 Jakarta yearbook 2011 at Poste, Kuningan.
the theme of this class's yearbook accordance with the location.

magic carpet ride - where Robert and Will Smith share the wall

Sedikit kaptur dokumentasi ruang dimana saya tinggal secara komunal bersama saudara-saudara saya di bawah satu atap wisma kost saraswati, jatinangor. Agak sedikit tidak rapih memang, saya bukan orang yg nyaman berada di tempat rapih. Kalau kamar saya begitu rapih, seolah saya sedang numpang di kamar orang lain. Ketidakrapihan ini merupakan wujud kemerdekaan saya di dunia saya sendiri, ruangan 3.5x4.5 m yg selalu sejuk meski suhu luar memanggang aspal.

Salah satu gambar di atas saya ambil dari depan kamar salah seorang saudara saya, Yudha, yg sebelumnya merupakan kamar saudari saya, Mbot, yg sudah terlebih dahulu mengenakan toga. Berurutan dari sudut pengambilan gambar adalah kamar Dion (sebelumnya kamar mba Nia), kamar Alam (paling tua dan paling lama, beliau masuk sejak th 2004 dan masih duduk santai di sana hingga 2011), kamar Arjun (tadinya kamar Jabun, sebelum ditempati Tongtek dan kemudian Arjun), kamar Jaka (tetangga sebelah saya yg sebelumnya diisi oleh Rian), kamar saya (sudut gelap yg nyaman dan sejuk), kamar Windra dan Cica (sebelumnya Randy), kamar Mabrur (sebelumnya cukup banyak pergantian squad di kamar ini; Rio, Cengir, Tongtek, Welly. kalau saya tidak salah ingat)

Gambar terakhir merupakan talang air tua tinggi menjulang berhiaskan antena televisi, cukup khas dan ikonik bagi para tamu dan penghuni wisma kami ini.

Sekian sedikit penjelasan (bukan cerita atau makna) mengenai gambar-gambar di atas. Untuk cerita, tentu saja foto ini lebih pandai bercerita dari pada tulisan saya, terutama bagi mereka yg merupakan bagian dari cerita tersebut.

it was a great warm Friday at kedai cafe, kemang. i accompanied my girlfriend. she got to do some work there, a photo session for cosmopolitan beauty spread. the cafe is quite homey with a unique and simple interior design. furnitures and lamps are created by unusual material. they use bakul (some kind of basket or pan for rice) for lamps, a karambol board for tables, and so many unusual materials created into creative stuffs mixed with colorful wall and window sills so does the cafe looks so great. the mellow and relaxing strains of selected play-lists, dominated by Indie folk offerings and alternative rock classics, also support the homey environment.

i also took some shot during the photo session. the people you'll see here are they are who contributed to this photo shoot. please meet Sugai san and his assistant Pri from Shunji Matsuo Indonesia as hairstylist, mba Wati as make up artist, Arinda from Cosmopolitan as stylist, Olga from Twentyone Milimeters agency as a model, and photographer, i don't know his name, and his assistant.

last week I attended a press conference of Shunji Matsuo Indonesia's hair studio. the conference took place at the hair studio on Dharmawangsa Square the city walk 2nd floor. my girlfriend contributed to held this press conference. it was a great day, the people was so fun, the lunch were good. i was happy seeing the result of my girlfriend's work. as a marketing and PR, she worked so hard to manage the conference and also the grand opening that will be held on 7th July.
